Changes to rules on outdoor gatherings

A new 'rule of four' is set to be introduced in Scotland for outdoor gatherings. 

Up to four adults from up to two households will be allowed to meet outside - including in people's private gardens - the First Minister has confirmed. 

It is among the first coronavirus restrictions to be eased since the national lockdown began in January.

National silence for anniversary of lockdown

A national silence will be held to mark a year since the first lockdown began, Nicola Sturgeon has announced.
