Grim milestone for Scotland

The Scottish coronavirus death toll has passed 6,000 people. 

The tragic figure was crossed as a further 70 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. It comes in a week where the overall UK death toll hit 100,000.

'It took a lot of thought'

A Scottish woman with multiple sclerosis has spoken out about the agonising decision she has had to make between continued treatment for the condition and the Covid-19 vaccine. 

Carla Callaghan, who is 36, has been shielding throughout the pandemic and is calling for more guidance and support for those with MS.
