The Newport News School Board voted 5-1 Wednesday to replace embattled Superintendent George Parker III amid the continuing fallout after a 6-year-old boy shot his first-grade teacher. The school administration was warned about the boy's behavior on the day Abigail Zwerner, 25, was seriously wounded, but they "failed to act," Zwerner's attorney said Wednesday.
