The Supreme Court probed whether Oklahoma death row inmate Richard Glossip's murder conviction should be thrown out because a key witness lied in court and prosecutors withheld information about him.

The case is unusual because the state attorney general, Republican Gentner Drummond, sided with a defendant.

As liberal Justice Elena Kagan said during the arguments, the state’s most important witness, Justin Sneed, was “exposed as a liar.”
