Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued a Dallas doctor accused of providing transition-related care to almost two dozen minors in violation of state law.

Texas enacted a law in 2023 banning hormone replacement therapy and other forms of gender-affirming care for minors. The suit is the first by a state attorney general against an individual doctor for allegedly violating such a restriction.
