Tropical Storm Alberto, the first named storm of the hurricane season, has made landfall in Mexico, bringing heavy rain and flooding to the country’s Gulf coast and Texas. The storm is moving inland over Mexico with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and could bring life-threatening flooding and mudslides to some areas, the National Hurricane Center said.
