President Donald Trump said the U.S. will delay implementing a promised 25% tariff on Mexican goods after a conversation with its president, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum said Mexico would send 10,000 troops to the U.S. border to address drug trafficking as the two leaders continue to negotiate a deal to avoid tariffs, which were set to go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
