November 25, 2021

Happy Thanksgiving! I have a lot to be thankful for this year, including you. Thank you for all the support and trusting me with providing your travel information. Last year was one of the most difficult financial years I've had but thanks to so many readers sending donations in, I made it through. I will be forever grateful.

And of course, I'm most thankful for my family. I'm so fortunate to have gone through the pandemic with these truly extraordinary human beings.

I know many travelers are thankful to Mother Nature for the decent weather so Thanksgiving travel has not been the nightmare many meteorologists predicted last week.

I wasn't planning on sending a newsletter today but there's so much news and with Black Friday tomorrow, it would've been an oversight on my part. So here's what you need to know:

Breaking: Want to Visit Europe? You Can’t Go Without This
If you're planning on visiting Europe this spring or summer, then you better read this new requirement

TSA Sets Checkpoint Pandemic Record
TSA saw 2,311,978 people go through security checkpoints yesterday, which is a pandemic record and typically, the second busiest travel day of the year. Expect that number to drop significantly today and tomorrow but grow slightly on Sunday, which is historically the busiest.

Instead of Giving Your Flight Attendant a Hard Time This Holiday, Give Them This Instead
A flight attendant's job is not easy. I dated a flight attendant for four years and know first-hand what they have to put up with every day. But since the pandemic began, their job has become infinitely harder. If you've been reading my newsletter for a while, you know that I always recommend giving flight attendants and gate agents chocolates as a way to say thank you but I've had a number of messages recently asking what kind of chocolates, who to give them to and when. Here's my advice.
