The White House reached a voluntary agreement with seven of the leading AI companies Friday to add safety and security measures into their model development.
The seven companies — Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and ML startup Inflection — pledged to include safety mechanisms, such as independent testing and baked-in security, into their AI models.
The pledge comes two months after the White House convened top tech CEOs to discuss the ethical use of AI. CIO Dive’s Lindsey Wilkinson has more details on the announcement.
