BREAKING: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to go free under plea deal with the U.S.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will plead guilty to one count related to obtaining and disseminating classified information as part of a deal with the U.S. Justice Department that will allow him to go free after spending five years in a British prison, according to court documents.

Assange, who has spent more than a decade fighting extradition to the U.S., is expected to be sentenced to 62 months in prison, or time served, which will allow him to return to Australia, where he was born. The deal will need to be approved by a judge.
