Happy Monday, Baltimore. Today, I chose to forget the Ravens' last-minute loss by diving straight into the first day of Baltimore Innovation Week.
If you didn't catch it before, today was a momentous day not only because of BIW's inception, but because we got Technical.ly Baltimore staffers past and present — Andrew Zaleski, Stephen Babcock, Donte Kirby and I — together for a panel that managing editor Julie Zeglen moderated. The panel looked back at our
10 years covering Baltimore's tech and entrepreneurship worlds while exploring what the future holds. It was a welcome reminder that this city, amid all of its problems and silos, is filled with people committed to growing an innovation ecosystem that rebukes the awful narratives of Baltimore's decline.
To those of you who came through on a Monday afternoon, or tuned into the BIW livestream, thank you. Whether you saw the panel or not, you can still share your hopes for the future
on our social wall. And you can catch me at ETC throughout the week, where I'll be checking out more insightful panels and trying to meet all of you. Until then, thanks for being a part of our Charm City community, and here's to the future.
