Breezy and #Blessed

Everyone’s exhausted.

So says Heather Thompson Day, the host of podcast Viral Jesus, and she’s not the only one. Researchers have found that three in five American adults say they’re more tired now than they’ve ever been. Not only that, but simple solutions like taking a nap aren’t doing the trick.

A little more shut-eye and an extra shot of espresso can only go so far when weariness runs bone deep. Day hopes that a multi-pronged approach to rejuvenation can help the worn down find energy again. On the first episode of Viral Jesus's third season, Day and a surprise guest introduce a new segment called #Blessed: a lighthearted look at new developments in tech and social media. in addition to keeping it breezy, Day also previews new “pod-classes” for her listeners. The first set of six classes will focus on healing.

When personal lives and a chaotic world seem intent on wearing us out, it’s time both to look for the lighthearted and to choose the ongoing work of renewal. Let’s enter the fall with confidence that laughter and a longstanding commitment to finding energy in Jesus can keep us going strong.
