Brewer-Young Mansion owners win historic preservation award for saving 135-year-old Longmeadow landmark
The Brewer-Young Mansion is a 10,900-square-foot residence on Longmeadow’s town green. Built in 1885, it was long the home of the Young family, descendants of the inventors of Absorbine and Absorbine Jr. liniments. It boasted 10 bedrooms, two dining rooms, a ballroom, glassed-in conservatory and a rifle range in the basement.
