The 2019 Brick Cup concluded today with a finale of the best players throughout the year. 32 of our top players played in a Ryder Cup style match play event. The two captains of David Steed and Hoyt Stanfield met Tuesday for a team selection meeting. Players were divided into 2 teams of 16 and from there 2-man matches were decided. David Steed chose Alec Lewis, Tommy Molony, Jason Churchwell, Bill Martin, Carl Stanley, Steve Veal, Craig Westbrook, Richard Mixon, Miki Folsom, Frank Gaudry, Lee Culpepper, Ed Hutcheson Jim Woods, Fielding Gurley, and Roger Birdsong. Hoyt Stanfield selected Josh Carson, Ethan Huff, Wes Huff, Dallas Malone, Dex Schroeder, Bert Barnes, Ed Snow, Mike Johnson, Keith Hatcher, Kem Stuart, Brandon West, Steve Gurley, Conrad Massey, Charles Cook, and Ken Clarke.
After all matches were complete it was Team Stanfield that came out victorious with 5 1/2 matches won to Team Steed's 2 1/2. There was great participation throughout the season and we expect 2020 to be even better!!
