Private equity has seen an opportunity – and this morning we report that Bridgepoint-backed Achilles Information has agreed to buy a company that says it has a focus on “ethical, sustainable and transparent” supply chain management. Switching to insurance, we look at One Peak leading a series C funding round for a company that claims to be “revolutionizing” the sector. Partners Group is also involved. Finishing up, we take a look at why private equity is so interested in the video games industry. Insuring the future This morning, growth equity firm One Peak led a series C funding round in Akur8, an insurance pricing and reserving platform that claims to have been “revolutionizing non-life insurance pricing with transparent AI since 2019.” Partners Group also participated in the round, along with historical investor Guidewire Software.
