The Victorian Government Scheme where customers can claim 25% cashback when they spend $40 or more on local dining and entertainment, has resumed.

Customers will need to upload their tax invoice/proof of purchase onto the  Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program website in order to claim the cash rebate.

Visit Business Victoria to see if your customers are eligible to claim 25% cashback on purchases from your business. 

The preferred contractor for one of Melbourne Airport Rail’s main works packages is a consortium of John HollandCPB ContractorsKBR, Inc. and AECOM

They will build a rail flyover across the Sunshine/Albion junction and upgrade Sunshine Station.

Victorian Government COVID-19 business grant program payments have been declared non-assessable, non-exempt (NANE) income by the ATO and therefore exempt from tax.

NANE Payments or income means your business is not required to pay tax on the funds and you don't need to declare it your business tax return.

The State Government mandated ban on the sale or supply of single-use plastics comes into effect on 1 February 2023. The ban includes single-use plastic straws, cutlery, plates, drink-stirrers, cotton bud sticks, and expanded polystyrene food and drink containers. This ban includes degradable, biodegradable and compostable plastic. Start preparing now for the ban by running down your existing single-use plastic stock and ask your supplier about reusable or sustainable alternatives.
