The State Government have launched a new $3 million Grants Program for Small and Medium Events to assist organisers with the cost of running events across Greater Melbourne.

Eligible event organisers delivering an event between 1 June to 31 December 2023 are encouraged to apply, with grant funding ranging between $5000 and $50,000 (excl. GST). Applicants will need to match the funding requested.

But be quick, applications close 28 February 2023.

Applying for a council permit for your business?

Contact our complimentary Business Concierge Service to get the information you need before you lodge a business permit or registration application with Council.

Designed for start-ups, home-based and small businesses wanting to open a new business or change an existing one, the Business Concierge can help you work out if you need Council permits or registrations.

All employees in the Fair Work system (including part-time and casual employees) will be entitled to 10 days of paid family and domestic violence leave in a 12-month period. This new entitlement replaces the existing entitlement to 5 days of unpaid family and domestic violence leave under the National Employment Standards (NES).
