Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have introduced new Plain English Allergen Labelling (PEAL) regulations to the Food Standards Code.  

Allergens must now be declared using one plain English word and ingredients such as tree nuts, fish, crustacea, molluscs and gluten-containing cereals must be declared separately.
