Bringing Play to Adult Services Programming: It’s Not Just for Kids Tuesday, October 15, 2019 1-2 PM ET, 10-11 AM PT
Work. Family. Groceries. Taxes. Dishes. Repeat ad infinitum…
Most individuals recognize that play is a critical part of a child’s academic, social, and emotional health, but grownups, stuck in the repetitive cycle of “adult-ing,” often forget that it is vital for their well-being as well. This program will outline the need for play in adult lives, types of play, and the benefits of prioritizing play for every age. It will examine and celebrate ways that Library programming is bringing play to the forefront in our patrons’ lives, and explore ways that libraries might expand this initiative.
