INVITATION TO THE PITCHING & AWARDS CEREMONY - PLASTICS CIRCULARITY INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2024 Vietnam is currently at a pivotal moment in its fight against plastic waste. With an alarming 71% of waste ending up in unhygienic landfills and a substantial portion of plastic packaging being improperly treated, the need for innovative recycling and waste management solutions has never been more urgent. In response to this challenge, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), in collaboration with Unilever Vietnam, the British Chamber of Commerce (BritCham), and the Startup Vietnam Foundation (SVF), launched the Plastics Circularity Innovation Challenge in April 2024. The initiative attracted over 100 applications from organisations and individuals across the country. After five months of thorough evaluations by a panel of judges with extensive experience and expertise in plastic recycling, waste management, and related fields. We have selected the top 20 projects, with the top 5 now advancing to the final round.
