BRITCHAM ADVOCACY

BCAC members had a luncheon with the Lord Mayor of London during his visit to Vietnam. The Lord Mayor highlighted his key topics for the visit : Artificial Intelligence & Innovation, Partnerships, Education, Asset Management & Wholesale Finance. Discussion was about how to work more closely together to support Vietnam and British Business, particularly in the IFC space.

BCAC and Mr. Hung had an online meeting to mark the occasion of his new appointment. Ambassador Hung would like BCAC to support in (i) promote the dialogue in JETCO event and CPTPP (ii) share experience/ difficulties and questions regarding NIC, IFC, JETP for mutual understanding and learning (iii) facilitate the PM visiting UK next year.

NEW REGULATIONS ON THE OFFSHORE-ISSUED BONUS SHARE PLAN

On 8 June 2024, the State Bank of Vietnam (“SBV”) released Circular No. 23/2024/TT-NHNN (“Circular 23”) amending a number of provisions of Circular No. 10/2016/TT-NHNN regarding governance on the employee stock ownership plans (“ESOP”) issued oversea. Circular 23 is effective from 12 August 2024.
