About this Survey: The VNTR is scheduled to go live later this year. In order to gather information about current practices and challenges when it comes to accessing information on trade with Vietnam, Nathan Associates UK Ltd would like to take this opportunity to conduct a short survey questionnaire among business stakeholders currently trading or hoping to trade with Vietnam. Answering the questionnaire should not take more than 2 minutes of your time! The survey is available in both English and Vietnamese.

We are hoping to evaluate responses by end of June 2021. Following this, the VNTR team will be organising a series of focus discussions in June and July, which will provide further opportunities for feeding into the design of the VNTR. Don't miss this opportunity to have your say and exchange with other business leaders on trading with Viet Nam!

We are looking forward to your ideas!

LAUNCH OF THE BRITCHAM SUSTAINABILITY WORKING GROUP

In recognition of the strategic importance of sustainability to BritCham members and the governments  of both the UK and Vietnam, BritCham has established a new working group focused on sustainability and ESG issues in Vietnam.

In the run up to COP26 in Glasgow the sustainability working group will be coordinating BritCham’s engagement with programmes led by the UK Embassy and the Department of Trade and Industry in Vietnam, facilitate participation in the Race to Zero campaign, apply for membership to the Chambers Climate Coalition, and support members involvement in the SME Climate Hub.

An initial meeting of the working group will take in May. If you would like to join the working group and attend this initial meeting please register with Toby Tuan (tuan.thieu@britchamvn.com)

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions in Vietnam the 2021 BritCham Vietnam Annual General Meeting will be conducted virtually using Zoom from 4pm to 5:30pm Thursday 27th May. You must register and be present on Zoom to cast your vote.  Please register below. The agenda is as follows:

  1. To approve the draft minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday June 03rd 2020
  2. To conduct the ballot to elect the Board of Directors for 2021
  3. To receive the 2020 Annual Report
  4. To adopt the 2020 Accounts
  5. To discuss and vote on proposed changes to the BritCham Vietnam Constitution, (if any)
  6. To appoint the Chairs and Vice Chairs

BritCham members have previously elected board directors through voting on the day at a physical AGM and advance votes. Due to the virtual nature of the AGM this year, voting will be conducted online using ‘Election Runner’.  The main representative in each member company will receive an invitation to vote for a maximum 14 board directors and vote for or against the proposed changes to the constitution.  Instructions will be available on the ballot page once you have access to vote online.
Please make sure you register to attend HERE and register to vote HERE.
