British Army assist police to find drone pilots in Gatwick disruption

The British Army has been called in to help police track down drone operators that have paralyzed London Gatwick, Britain’s second busiest airport since the evening of Dec. 19.

Shares in Airbus nosedived Dec. 20 after reports surfaced that the US Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating the company’s use of middlemen in jetliner sales.

Republic Airways firms order for 100 E175s

US regional airline Republic Airways has finalized an order for 100 Embraer 175s, and taken purchase rights on a further 100, building on a letter of intent (LOI) that was first announced at the Farnborough Air Show in July.


High Court bans Virgin Atlantic pilot strike

UK long-haul specialist Virgin Atlantic (VA), facing a strike by one of its pilots’ unions in the run-up to Christmas, won a court injunction halting the industrial action Dec. 20.

CemAir fires back at regulator after temporary grounding
