Broussard officials identify 3 areas in pitch to spur retail development

Good morning, Acadiana. Let's get down to business this morning.

In the city of Broussard, retail sales are starting to bounce back after years of slumping numbers after the oil and gas industry plunged in 2014. Now city officials there are trying to steer more retail and restaurant development their way by announcing three retail zones they say are ready for business. Each one is along high traffic areas, including the Ambassador Commons project at the corner of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and U.S. 90, which will soon be under construction.
