Brown Park super sports complex to be scaled back

Plans for a super sports complex at Brown Park in north Lafayette are being scaled back. Mayor-President Monique Boulet, who took office in January after defeating Mayor-President Josh Guillory in November, said Tuesday there are many parks in the parish with a lot of needs.

"That amount of money in one park, to me, was a lot," she said.

The park's current status has left many families who don't have transportation and use with park without other options.
