Brown water pours out of these Louisiana towns' taps

Sometimes it looks like iced tea, and sometimes it looks like cafe au lait, but when residents of a few towns in Livingston Parish open their taps, the water often isn't clear.

When we heard people reporting problems with the water, we started investigating. Here's what we found, backed up with plenty of photos of what it looks like. 


A 16-year-old is accused of killing his 15-year-old girlfriend because of an argument over "some jealousy," the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said yesterday. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and, as of Monday evening, he was on the run.
