| Happy Friday, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Dec. 23, 2022. Well, if you didn’t know it, it’s going to be cold all weekend. It’s going to be even colder in Cleveland, where the Saints will be playing the Browns on Saturday at noon. The temperatures are supposed to be in the single digits, making this one of the coldest games in franchise history. Saints’ reporter Terrin Waack talked to some players on how they are planning to handle the cold. On the injury front, the Saints placed receiver Jarvis Landry on the injured reserve list Thursday. Landry is out and three other Saints’ players were ruled OUT for Saturday’s game. Read about Landry and the rest of the injury report. To replace Landry, the Saints signed Destrehan High alum Kirk Merritt to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. It's two days before Christmas, which means it was time for me to write Santa and let him know what’s on the wish list for sports fans in New Orleans. Here’s the letter to Santa.
