After an unusually quiet weekend, the cryptocurrency market is up 4.8% today. Bitcoin is back above the $10,000 mark following 5.3% gains; Ethereum and XRP are up 4.5% and 2.3% respectively. In the top-20, almost all coins are up 2% to 7%.

👉 Boxer Manny Pacquiao to launch cryptocurrency

Manny Pacquiao is a famous Filipino boxer with a net worth estimated close to $200 million, having earned more than $500 million across his entire career, according to Forbes.

The boxer is now set to launch his own cryptocurrency, Pac, which will be used to purchase Manny's merchandise and give holders the opportunity to talk to the boxer himself via social media.

👉 North Korea denies attacks on crypto exchanges, banks

A recent United Nations report made allegations that North Korea had been conducting cyberattacks on both traditional banks and cryptocurrency exchanges, stealing more than $2 billion to date.

A statement from North Korea has denied these allegations, saying they are a "nasty game aimed at tarnishing the image of our Republic and finding justification for sanctions and pressure campaign against the DPRK."

👉 Travala booking service logs 1,000 bookings in August

Travala is a cryptocurrency-friendly travel booking service with more than half a million properties on its website. We recently featured it in the newsletter following its decision to add XMR as a payment option.

Perhaps as a result of adding Monero to its payment methods, Travala logged more than 1,000 bookings in the month of August, continuing month-on-month growth of upwards of 25%.
