The three co-founders of BitMEX and a fourth executive have been removed and replaced with new leadership, who will seek to complete the exchange's recent user verification program. BitMEX is facing charges brought by the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), including violating anti-money laundering regulations. Draper Associates, an investment firm founded by prominent Bitcoin investor Tim Draper, has led a $5 million Series A funding round by Indian crypto exchange Unocoin. If the funding round is closed successfully, it will value Unocoin at $20 million and enable them to expand their product range and tech team. Hackers have moved more than $26 million worth of Bitcoin which was stolen from crypto exchange Bitfinex in 2016. Seven transactions took place, with the majority consisting of around $4 million each.
