Three Republican US senators have introduced a bill this week, aiming to limit the use of China's central bank digital currency (CBDC) within the United States.
The bill has been named the “Defending Americans from Authoritarian Digital Currencies Act" and seeks to block the use of the digital yuan (also referred to as e-CNY), from US app stores and other areas.
All app and software distributors in the US would be banned from supporting transactions in the currency.
Solana's blockchain clock has fallen out of sync with real-world time, as a result of slowed slot times on the network – currently running about half an hour behind.
Although the issue does not impact general network performance, the network will be showing timestamps that are different from real world time. Staking rewards may also have reduced earnings.
