Facebook parent company Meta has filed five new trademark applications for "Meta Pay", an apparent digital assets trading and payments platform.
The trademark applications outline Meta Pay as an online social networking service which allows financial trades and the exchange of digital currency. Digital asset lending and investment services are also mentioned in the filing.
Meta previously acquired MetaPay.com from a company in South Dakota as part of a $60 million deal last year.
Aave has launched its Lens Protocol project on Polygon, a platform designed to assist developer to build social networking DApps on the blockchain.
The protocol allows users to use a single "Lens" profile across various DApps built in the protocol, with 50 different apps due to be released at launch. Aave has also created a $250,000 grants program to support developers on the platform.
Terra founder Do Kwon has announced an on-chain governance proposal, despite a majority rejection by the community of the preliminary poll in the blockchain's governance forum.
The proposal concerns the renaming of the original Terra chain to "Terra Classic", while retaining the original Terra name for a new blockchain. 92% of more than 6,000 voters of the preliminary poll opposed a hard fork entirely.
