Tether has expanded its USDT stablecoin to yet another blockchain – this time Tezos – in an effort to unlock new DeFi products for USDT holders.
The expansion brings Tether's reach to 12 different chains, including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Algorand and Polygon. Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino says Tezos is "coming fast onto the scene" and believes the integration is important for long-term growth.
Tezos is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain powered by its native XTZ token, with a market capitalization of around $1.9 billion – currently the 33rd largest market cap of all cryptocurrencies.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has partnered with VeChain in a reported $100 million, 5-year minimum deal, making the blockchain its very first official Layer-1 partner.
The partnership includes integrations into UFC live events, as well as original content for digital and social media channels. VeChain will also have branding within the UFC's octagon at 42 annual events and the Dana White Contender Series.
Global trading firm Wintermute has unveiled a new decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, called Bebop. The exchange is designed to assist users in swapping large quantities of tokens without dealing with slippage.
The platform is a competitor to similar platforms such as 1inch and aims to solve inefficiencies such as high gas fees and clunky user interfaces.
