VC company Blockchain Capital has raised $300 million in funding for its new crypto fund, with backing from payments giants Visa and PayPal.
Blockchain Capital described the funding round as "heavily oversubscribed", adding that other contributors included pension funds, family offices and major university endowments.
Bitcoin may be on track to post its worst quarter in terms of price-performance since the beginning of the 2018 bear market, according to Skew.
Data shows that Bitcoin is down nearly 46% for the quarter, its worst quarterly performance since an almost 50% fall in Q1 of 2018. This would be only the fourth quarter since 2019 that Bitcoin has seen a drawdown in value.
Web browser provider Brave has launched a brand new privacy-focused search engine in beta, adding to its suite of products.
The search engine will not track user searches or what they click on, competing closely with DuckDuckGo and, less directly, Google.
Brave is associated with the cryptocurrency Basic Attention Token (BAT), which has functionality built into its browser for advertising.
