EOSIO block.one CTO Daniel Larimer has resigned from his position, with speculation that he is moving onto social media development.
In a recent Tweet, Larimer stated that it was time to abandon Twitter and that he is "leaning toward building more censorship resistant technologies".
Block.one is a software development company for the EOS blockchain. Larimer has founded or co-founded several blockchain projects including EOS, Bitshares and Steem.
Bitcoin mining company, Bit Digital, has reached a market cap of more than $1 billion, after a 7,500% increase over the last year. Just one year ago, the company had a total valuation of $6.2 million.
Bit Digital is rapidly scaling up their mining operations, with 18,000 new mining machines reportedly purchased by the company, worth $13.9 million.
State-owned Agricultural Bank of China has reportedly rolled out new ATM machines in the city of Shenzhen, which allow conversion to and from the country's new digital yuan.
The ATM machines are part of Shenzhen's testing phase of the new digital currency, which also included a digital yuan lottery worth $3 million.
