Apple has posted a job vacancy for a business development manager for "alternative payments", which asks for candidates with cryptocurrency experience.
The successful applicant will be joining the team responsible for Apple Pay and the iPhone Wallet app, with a requirement of 5+ years in working with "alternative payment providers" including "digital wallets" and "cryptocurrency".
Asset manager WisdomTree has filed for an Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) with the Securities and Exchange Commission, becoming the second company to do so.
VanEck made a similar filing earlier this month, with both companies also filing for Bitcoin ETFs and planning to list their funds on Cboe.
