The world's largest interdealer broker, TP ICAP, will be launching a cryptocurrency trading platform in partnership with Fidelity Digital Assets.

TP ICAP's platform is designed to make it easier for institutional clients to trade crypto assets. These clients currently find it difficult to do so, due to execution venue requirements.

The platform will need to register with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is set to launch by the end of 2021.

Financial authorities in Mexico have clarified that cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in the country, adding that financial institutions operating with them will be subject to sanctions.

Morgan Stanley has been increasing its presence in cryptocurrency over the last several months, allowing some of its funds to invest directly into Bitcoin in April.
