Tether's USDT stablecoin market cap has broken $60 billion, for the first time in history. The milestone comes as 6 billion new USDT tokens have been minted in the last month alone, according to data from Whale Alert.
Over the past year, Tether's market cap has increased by 580% and is now ranked as the third largest cryptocurrency, behind only Bitcoin and Ethereum.
