Blockchain company ConsenSys has acquired MyCrypto, an open-source Ethereum wallet provider, with plans to merge it with MetaMask.
The acquisition is designed to bring the popular MetaMask wallet to even more platforms via integrations, especially on desktop. MyCrypto's team of 12 will join Consensys as part of the merge.
In the near term, the two products will still remain independent, with no firm date announced for the merger.
Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian's venture capital firm, 776 Management, has raised $500 million for two new crypto-focused investment funds.
The firm already has investments in cryptocurrency companies such as Sky Mavis, Lolli and CoinTracker, with the expectation that the majority of their portfolio will involve crypto by the end of 2022.
MicroStrategy has announced yet another purchase of Bitcoin, this time adding 660 more Bitcoins to their portfolio for a total of around $25 million.
The average price per Bitcoin for the purchase works out to $37,865 per coin, including fees and expenses. MicroStrategy now holds a total of 125,051 Bitcoins in its portfolio.
