Bitcoin average transaction fees have reached a two-year low of under $1.04 – the lowest they've been since June 2020.
The average cost of a Bitcoin transaction peaked in April 2021 at around $62.79 and has steadily fallen ever since. In contrast, the Bitcoin network's hash rate continues to sit at all-time highs of 248.11 EH/s.
Average transaction fees went through a similar pattern in December 2017, peaking at $54.64 and tapering all the way down during 2018.
Thailand- based Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited has made an investment into Binance.US operator, BAM Trading Services Inc., receiving “series seed preferred stock”.
Gulf Energy also purchased an undisclosed amount of BNB tokens, which power Binance's BNB Chain network. Its subsidiary, Gulf Innova entered a shareholders' agreement with Binance last week to set up a cryptocurrency exchange.
Popular Ethereum-based wallet, MetaMask has warned users against Apple iCloud phishing attacks. Some Apple devices automatically back-up app data – including that of MetaMask – which means a compromised iCloud account could result in crypto funds being lost.
One Twitter user known as Domenic Iacovone had hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tokens stolen through their iCloud account. The feature can be easily turned off in the device's settings.
