The government of Argentina has agreed to "discourage" the use of cryptocurrencies in the country, as part of a $45 billion deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
A leaked draft of the text showed that the discouragement is being made "with a view to preventing money laundering, informality and disintermediation".
It is not yet clear what discouraging the use of cryptocurrencies involves, with the IMF refusing to provide comment to The Block.
Coinbase Wallet has added support for Solana and Solana-based (SPL) tokens, as part of a plan to "further integrate" with Solana decentralized applications and NFTs.
Users of Solana wallets including Phantom and Solflare are now able to easily import their existing wallet to the Coinbase Wallet, also via a browser extension.
The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has confirmed to the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) that it will not allow any new users in Ontario, Canada to open trading accounts.
