Fantasy soccer NFT platform Sorare has raised $680 million in a Series B funding round, which was led by Japanese holding company Softbank.
Sorare is a Paris-based platform built on Ethereum that enables fans to trade NFT trading cards of their favorite players. The investment values Sorare at a whopping $4.3 billion.
To date, Sorare has amassed 600,000 registered users, with licensed players from more than 180 major soccer teams around the world.
American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has dropped its planned "Lend" feature, following threats from the SEC about launching the service.
The SEC threatened that they would sue Coinbase should it release the feature – a seemingly hostile move given Coinbase's reaching out to the agency in advance earlier in the year.
Lend aimed to provide customers with a steady 4% annual percentage yield on their USD Coin (USDC) savings.
Crypto exchange giant Binance is shutting down futures, options and leveraged token trading for Australian users, giving them 90 days to close their positions.
As of Friday, Aussie users will no longer be able to open new positions for these trading instruments, nor increase the size of existing positions. Margin balances can still be topped-up to avoid liquidations.
