Ukraine may be about to become the very first country to conduct a token airdrop, rewarding crypto donors with free tokens that are yet to be detailed.
The country's official Twitter account made the announcement today that a snapshot will be taken tomorrow (March 3rd) at 6pm Kyiv time. The snapshot will determine which wallet addresses are eligible for the airdrop.
More than $30 million in crypto has been donated to the addresses posted by the Ukraine Twitter account so far.
Digital Currency Group (DCG) will be repurchasing up to a quarter of a billion dollars' worth of Grayscale investment product shares, with a focus on the less-prominent trusts.
The targets of the repurchase program include the Grayscale Litecoin Trust, Horizon Trust, Zcash Trust and others. The reasoning behind the move has not been specified in DCG's latest statement.
