👉 Ethereum Scaling Solution Arbitrum Reaches $1.5B TVL

Arbitrum, a new Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution, has surged to $1.5 billion as new adopters rush to yield farm a token called "ArbiNYAN".

More formally known as Arbitrum One, the Ethereum scaling platform is based on a technology called "rollups" and has proved popular within the community as users rushed to try out the new network.

ArbiNYAN itself saw its NYAN token fall by over 90% over the last 24 hours, despite the farming frenzy.

Indian authorities are looking at taxing cryptocurrency exchanges and trading within the country, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The sentiment has arisen just as Rama Subramaniam Gandhi, former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, called last week for regulation over cryptocurrencies.

👉 El Salvador's Largest Bank Begins Accepting Bitcoin Payments

El Salvador’s largest bank, Bancoagrícola, has started accepting Bitcoin payments for loans and credit card bills, as well as purchasing goods and services from merchants connected to the bank.

Payments made to Bancoagrícola in Bitcoin will be accepted "at the exact market rate, without any additional fee or spread".
