👉 ECASH Bill Would Enable US Treasury To Create Digital Dollar

US lawmakers have introduced a bill which would put the power to create a digital dollar in the hands of the Treasury Department, rather than the Federal Reserve.

The bill is designed to enable the Treasury Secretary to create and issue a digital version of the US dollar with a stated emphasis on privacy and anonymity. The currency would be able to be held on a phone or card, but would be token based – and not recoverable if the device is lost.

👉 BNB Chain To Boost Scalability With App-Specific Sidechains

Binance-related BNB Chain is looking to boost its network's scalability through the use of application-specific sidechains, streamlining the platform for gaming and other resource-intensive use cases.

Developers will be able to deploy their own BNB Chain Application Sidechain (BAS), with the ability to port data and assets from the main chain. It is not yet known when the sidechain compatibility will launch.

👉 Russian Deputy Minister Of Energy Wants To Legalize Crypto Mining ASAP

Russia's Deputy Minister of Energy, Evgeny Grabchak, wants to eliminate the "legal vacuum" surrounding cryptocurrency mining, via the creation of clear regulations around the practice.

Grabchak also supports letting regional authorities, rather than federal ones, set sites for mining and energy quotas (if needed). Vice-Premier Aleksandr Novak has also recently voiced support for legalizing crypto mining in the country.
