Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has confirmed a hack of its platform, which resulted in the loss of $150 million in user funds.

According to the exchange founder and CEO, Sheldon Xia, the hack affected one of BitMart's Ether (ETH) hot wallets, as well as one of their Binance Smart Chain hot wallets.

The attack was first pointed out by crypto security firm PeckShield, who took note of a large number of outbound transfers from the wallets.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group has launched micro Ether (ETH) futures – an Ether futures product with smaller contracts, which will complement their regular futures offering.

The futures contracts will have a size of 0.1 ETH, which is worth roughly around $400 per contract at current market prices. The micro futures will be cash-settled and trade under the ticker METZ1.
