Payments giant Visa has announced that it has acquired a CryptoPunk non-fungible token (NFT), taking its very first steps into the world of digital collectibles.
The firm bought CryptoPunk 7610 – one out of a collection of 10,000 digital avatars from Larva Labs in 2017 – for about $150,000 in Ether (ETH) last week.
Visa is known to own multiple historical items as part of an art collection relating to commerce.
