👉 Tether Market Cap Tops $50 Billion

The market cap of Tether’s USDT stablecoin has crossed the $50 billion mark, making it the first ever stablecoin to reach the milestone.

More than 50 billion USDT stablecoins are now in circulation, each token supposedly backed by 1 USD dollar worth of assets.

Another interesting note is that Tether’s supply on the Tron blockchain has passed that on Ethereum.

👉 Turkish Central Bank Rules Out Total Crypto Ban

Turkey’s central bank has ruled out a total ban on cryptocurrency, however a “wide range” of regulations are on their way.

The clarification was made by the central bank’s head, Governor Şahap Kavacıoğlu, following a previously-announced ban amidst a plunging lira.

👉 Polygon Gains Steam In Ethereum Layer-2 Race

Polygon, a layer-2 scaling solution on Ethereum, has picked up momentum in the race to layer-2 adoption, securing several high-profile projects.

To date, Aave, Sushiswap, OpenSea and other popular DeFi projects have already announced expansions onto the Polygon network. Its very own decentralized exchange QuickSwap has also gained significant volume.
