VanEck has filed with the SEC for a digital asset mining exchange-traded fund (ETF), which would allow investors to obtain diversified exposure to cryptocurrency mining companies.

The fund plans to invest 80% or more of its total assets into companies that are likely to earn at least half of their revenues from crypto mining activity or similar.

Other crypto mining-related ETFs have performed well this year, as two other similar products gained between 26% and 45% since they hit the market.

Coinbase Cloud, the staking arm of Coinbase, has reached $30 billion in cryptocurrency assets staked as of November. More than 25 different proof-of-stake blockchains are supported.
