👉 G7 Financial Leaders Issue CBDC Guidelines

Financial leaders from the G7 countries have met in Washington this week to discuss central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

The discussions resulted in the endorsement of 13 public policy principles regarding the implementation of CBDCs, including mandating that they should not threaten central banks' abilities to maintain financial stability.

It was also reiterated that any global stablecoin project should not begin operating until legal, regulatory, and oversight requirements have been addressed – a statement made by the G20.

👉 Polkadot Plans First Parachain Auction For November 11

The very first Polkadot "parachain" auction has been planned for November 11, according to the Polkadot Council.

Parachain auctions are the process by which projects are allocated slots for building on Polkadot's interconnected blockchain network. According to founder Robert Habermeier, it has been almost exactly five years since the vision was published in Polkadot's whitepaper.

Coinbase's newly-announced NFT platform has attracted significant traffic, with more than 930,000 users signed up to the platform's waitlist.

The platform will enable users to mint and purchase NFT assets, as well as provide self-custody wallets with no know-your-customer (KYC) checks.
