VanEck, a well-known asset management firm, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The fund would be a trust holding Ether (ETH), with its share value based on the average market rate of the Ether held in the trust.
VanEck also recently re-filed for a Bitcoin ETF, however no ETFs have been approved in the US to date for any cryptocurrency.
